It is our desire that everyone find themself on a journey with Jesus. We are convinced that there are at least three great things that can happen through this journey (Course)
This starts with BELIEVING in Him. Along the way we find that we actually BELONG to something greater than ourselves. Continue on the course and you will eventually BECOME what He has created you to be and do.
1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
BELIEVE
The Cognitive process that leads to Convictions.
Cognitive: Conscious intellectual activity such as Thinking, Reasoning, Remembering.
Conviction: A strong persuasion or belief…The state of being Convinced.
BELIEVE GODS WORD.
John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
John 20:31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (Matt 16:16)
Gal 3:6 Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
TRUST IN GOD.
Prov 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
BELONG
IDENTITY.
People often suffer from Identity Crisis. Who am I? What am I about?
Peer Pressure aids the problem of Identity Crisis.
Who we are is decided by other people. They decide whether we are “In” or “Out”. If they do not say I am “In”, I lose a sense of self.
A large amount of our Buying occurs in our society because people are searching for their Identity.
LOST IDENTITY
I Samuel 17 teaches us that the Israelite army lost their sense of Identity. David Identified with his covenant with God and defeated the Philistine Champion.
You must Identify with your covenant.
Rom 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
YOU BELONG TO GODS CHURCH.
God is bringing people to the church.
Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
BECOME
John 18:17-27 Peter denied his affiliation with Jesus…three times.
Acts 12:1-6 Peter was in prison but was confident through the situation because he had Become who God wanted him to be.
